Freehold workers
This is a photo my parents have in their family collection. We believe it is a group of "Freehold' workers and that my grandfather, Reg Carter is in the middle wearing a trilby hat and that his brother, Bert Carter is sitting in front of him. My parents are now in their late 80's and whilst they recognise many of the faces that cant remember their names.....can anyone help identify others in this group?

I do know, however, that in 1921 he was working for Miskin and Sons (the name on the ladder), and that he was working until the day he died in 1944, so it is possible he is in this picture. I would love to know if your parents (or anyone else reading this) recognise the name.
