This view of the house was taken by Matthew Eccleston for his book "Enfield - Portrait of a London Borough". He describes it as a dilapidated Victorian villa. At this time it was owned by the adjacent Conservative Club, but was unused, and looked very sad. Look at the transformation in the photo of 2008!
