Fire Watching Request
The document date is June 1943. It was sent to my father. It's an interesting form of words considering there was no choice! Sorry about the state of the document, I found it screwed up in the back of a drawer.

For John Holtham - my father was a Fire Watcher as he had dermatitis and ear problems, keeping him out of the army (so I might never have been born in April 1943!). Len Turner was born 1916, but never talked much about it, so this is very interesting. Thanks.
