I purchased a 1962 Lotus Super 7, Series 2 from Lambs in 1964, at age 26, and eventually shipped to my home in San Diego, California, USA, 47 years ago, and I still know who owns it now and talked with last November 2010 about it. Still have 3 RHD British cars, 91 London taxi, 83 Mini Mayfair, 73 Mini Moke.

Wow....how strange to pick up this site...I was just talking to my partner about my experiences as a car salesman at Lambs, and how much I had enjoyed my "daily drive" in the Lotus super 7 in 1964, just before I left to spend the next few years working on a charter yacht in the Greek islands......I had the car for a couple of months, despite the inclement weather and the offer to use other exotic machinery......when the Lotus sold, I bought a Triumph TR3 for scrap value and left it beside the road when I left on the new adventure...the Lotus was a heap of fun, was great sport drifting the roundabouts.

Back in Australia now, and in the late 70s, my daily drive is a VW Polo.....bugger!!!
