I WAS RAISED IN THE FLATS WHERE THIS WAS TAKEN (CHAVILLE COURT). MY PARENTS MOVED THERE JUST BEFORE I WAS BORN IN 1960 AND THEY WERE THE FIRST TO MOVE INTO THE FLATS! BUT I DONT REMEMBER THE DONKIES, BUT THEN I WAS ONLY FOUR!

My Nan and Grandad, Betty and Harry Stebbing lived in these flats for many years. My sister and I often stayed with them during the summer holidays and helped my Grandad in the garden that he kept at the back of he flats

Forgive me Jim, your name rings a bell but I can't quite place you. I remember that incident vaguely, took ages for the ambulance if I recall. I wonder if there's any old photos of the team around?

I think Terry Oakley would have some. I've just been told he is in Potters Bar area by John Hack so I will hunt him down. Yes you were right, bloody ages for the Ambulance to turn up. We have reunions on the 16 May next year - lads from the north Met, New Southgate, Palmers FC, and Oakleigh Rovers turn up for the meet. We have a good laugh. Hope to see you there with some of the ex players next year. bye jim
