High Road, Finchley

This shows the junction of the North Circular and The High Road, looking North in 1958. The T.A. Centre shown on right. This was always known as Glanfield's Corner, after the garage and motor-cycle showroom Glanfield Lawrence just out of scene on the left. Spent many a happy hour as a youngster with my nose pressed up against the glass, staring enviously at the gleaming machines!
