Junction of Friern Barnet Rd. and Station Rd. (to the right) c1920. The London and Provincial Bank is the building on the right, while on the left is the Railway Hotel, later The Turrets (now demolished). Back in the 50's I seem to remember a narrow road, just this side of the pub, with a group of very small cottages at the end, in one of which lived the Judd family.

In the 1960's the Parade beside the Bank included a Doctor Surgery (Dr Bowen). .It would be nice to see Photos of South Road where the Houses were demolished in the 1970's and the adjacent Parade of Shops going down Station Road.
