I was very goods friends with Brenda Hembrow's youngest sister Susan. The Hembrows lived in South Road and we lived in Alexandra Road, the next road down.

Derek Hembrow was in my year, those born 1942-1943 who left Garfield School in 1954, and we met up in 2002 at a reunion. Derek became very successful in logistics and collected classic cars. Lives near Hereford. We run successful annual Garfield Reunions since 2019 at the Conservative Club - next one this May 16th, very informal, free food, displays, books of memories.
