Friern Barnet Lane

Friern Lodge at the entrance to North Middlesex Golf Club. This lodge was part of Manor Farm which was bought by John Miles in 1851. He subsequently renamed the main building the Manor House although it was never actually a manor house

Comments:
I am a direct descendent of John Miles, Esq. I am thrilled to find out so much about the family after all these years of wondering and speculation! John Miles daughter (Sophia) married Rev. Robert Morris, I am a Morris. I have a lot of relatives who are also direct descendents, here, in the U.S.

I am also a direct descendant of John Miles. His son Charles Hodgson Miles married Florence Amelia and they had two daughters, Lily and Phyllis, and a son, John. I am the granddaughter of Lily (known as Molly) who married Derek Webster of Hill House, Berkhamsted.
