This petrol station used to be an independant one, selling petrol from various companies, and resisted being taken over for a long time. It was owned for many years by Arthur Giblin, who was also a director of John Dales, the company which used to be where the industrial estate is now, between Waterfall Road and Brunswick Park Road.
