Many a good pint was disposed of in this hostelry dispensed by the capable lanlord Peter Spurgeon. If he ran short of anything he would send the nearest customer out to the "Blue Anchor" for fresh supplies!

My Uncle and Aunt Peter and Iris Spurgeon ran this pub in the 60s and 70 many a good Christmas was enjoyed here
