I used to do a morning paper round for this shop 6 days a week.
The route was all of the top end of New Southgate from Garfield Road up, then onto Friern Barnet Road, Beaconsfield Road, Holly Park Road, Glenthorne Road and then back along Friern Barnet Road to the shop in High Road. All for 7/6d a week and then walk all the way to Arnos School afterwards. I was about 14 and fit then!!!
