My Father Horace Arthur TRIMNELL was an employee of the GNR then LNER from 1923. He was an Administration Clerk for over 40 years. His last station was Crouch End when he retired and came to New Zealand with his family. I am writing his history. He died in NZ in 1963. He was a valued member of the LNER. My two sisters and brother and myself were all born in the huge Friern Barnet Hospital. Thank you for this site.

Just a 'Thank You', for including my Comment about my Father. I am including pictures of the remains of Crouch End Station in my Father's History Story. He retired in 1949 aged 60. I think he would approve of the Parkland Walk if it had to be, as he loved to walk. But perhaps a little sad about railway cut-backs that had to be made. I used to help Father in the Office during the school holidays. We were both there when a bomb-blast during WWII, caused all the tickets to fall from the racks. What a job to sort them all out again! Dad enjoyed his work. But he loved New Zealand. Had a huge garden to work in to his heart's delight. Thank you once again. Regards to members of the Society.
