Not all stores began. The company remains inactive for some time due to the closure of Harveys Furniture, but kept its label Bensons for Beds. Harveys Furniture opened a sofa and bed store in the newly built Friern Barnet complex in 1998, but it did closed in 2008 and the site was taken over by Smyths Toys Superstores. The current Harveys Furniture store is Bensons for Beds. The former Harveys Furniture store is referred to as the original Harveys Furniture shop, which ran from 1966 to 2020.
